Scott Broome Named 2019 "Lawyer of the Year" in Tax Litigation and Controversy

The law firm of Buckley King is pleased to announce that J. Scott Broome has been honored by The Best Lawyers in America as Cleveland's 2019 "Lawyer of the Year" in Tax Litigation and Controversy. Scott has been recognized by Best Lawyers every year since 2012, and has now received this grand distinction for 2019.

Scott has spent years guiding and advocating on individual and corporate taxation matters, civil and criminal tax controversy, audit representation, litigation and appeals, internal investigations, and white-collar criminal defense. Before entering private practice, Scott served as a District Counsel Lawyer for the Internal Revenue Service litigating tax issues before the U.S. Tax Court, and providing advice to government officials on civil as well as criminal matters. Scott has also handled forfeiture cases ranging from U.S. currency to hundreds of pounds of wild American ginseng, to a 44-carat internally flawless yellow diamond.
